Gracie's stuffed tomatoes

Ingredients

  • 2 red firm good sized tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup of breadcrums
  • 1/4 tsp garlic salt
  • 1 pinch of peper
  • 1/4 cup of any cheese you like.( i used store bought shreded mozzarella)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400f
  2. Cut your tomatoes horizontally and scoop out pulp and seeds.
  3. Then salt the inside to get the extra water out and set upside down on a paper towel or wire rack for about 10 minutes or so.
  4. Meanwhile in a bowl, combine breadcrumbs, pepper, garlic salt, cheese, oil and mix together
  5. Take a spoon a fill each tomatoe half with the filling and sprinkle a little cheese on top (optional)
  6. Bake for about 30 minutes or until tops are golden brown!
