Orange-Mint Julep

Ingredients

  • 2 handfuls fresh mint leaves
  • 2 1/2 c. water
  • 2 c. sugar
  • juice of 6 lemons
  • juice of 2 oranges

Instructions

  1. Place fresh mint leaves in a pan.
  2. Cover with 2 1/2 cups water; bring to a boil.
  3. Simmer 5 minutes.
  4. When cool, add sugar, lemon juice and orange juice.
  5. Heat the mixture, stirring constantly, until sugar is dissolved.
  6. Store in the refrigerator in a covered container.
