Editorial Policy
EatStruct is a recipe and nutrition reference. This policy explains how our content is created, what our sources are, and how we keep information accurate.
Who publishes EatStruct
EatStruct is published and maintained by the EatStruct team. We are a reference site, not a clinical or medical provider. Where content has not been reviewed by a named subject-matter expert, we say so plainly rather than implying credentials we do not hold.
How our content is created
- Nutrition facts are drawn from the U.S. Department of Agriculture's FoodData Central database, a public, authoritative source used by researchers and health professionals.
- Recipes are aggregated from publicly available sources. Where a source is known, we link to it. We do not claim authorship of recipes we did not create.
- Per-recipe nutrition is an estimate calculated from ingredient data and is not a substitute for laboratory analysis. See our Methodology for details.
Accuracy & corrections
We aim for accuracy but cannot guarantee that every value is error-free, as data sources change and nutrition estimates carry inherent uncertainty. If you spot an error, please contact us and we will review and correct it where warranted.
Independence
Editorial decisions are made independently of any commercial relationship. Where a page contains affiliate or sponsored links, that relationship does not influence the nutrition data or recipe information we present.
Health information
Nutrition and recipe information on EatStruct is provided for general educational purposes only and is not medical or dietary advice. Please read our full Disclaimer.
