Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 3 cups water
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons grated lemon rind
  • 1/3 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 2 (750 ml) bottles champagne

Instructions

  1. Mix together all the ingredients until well combined.
  2. Transfer mixture to the freezer can of a 1-gallon electic ice cream freezer.
  3. Freeze according to the manufacturer's directions.
  4. Ripen for 1 hour.
