Cinnamon Dough

Ingredients

  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 c. salt
  • 5 tsp. cinnamon
  • 3/4 to 1 c. warm water

Instructions

  1. Mix flour, salt and cinnamon in bowl, making a well in the center.
  2. Pour in water.
  3. Mix with hands until dough forms a ball (may need to add flour or water).
  4. Knead on lightly floured board until smooth and satiny (about 5 minutes).
  5. Wrap and refrigerate 20 minutes before using.
  6. Model with it (3/4 inch thick for ornaments).
  7. To add small pieces, moisten with water and press on. Bake at 350° for 1 hour, until hard.
  8. Sandpaper and varnish when cool.
  9. This dough smells good, but it's not for eating.
