Cranapple Compote
Ingredients
Instructions
- Combine 1 cup sugar and 1 cup water.
- Bring to boil, add cranberries and reduce heat.
- Cook until skins pop open.
- Set aside.
- Peel and slice apples.
- Combine sugar and 1/3 cup water, add cinnamon and bring to a boil, stir to mix well.
- Reduce heat. Add apples and cook until just tender.
- Remove from heat.
- Cool. Pour apples into bowl and add cranberry mixture on top.
- Do not stir until next day.
- Can be made ahead.
- Will keep up to 3 weeks in refrigerator.
