Ingredients

  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1/4 c. water
  • 6 whole cloves
  • 1 orange, cut into slices and studded with cloves
  • 1 stick cinnamon
  • 1 qt. orange juice
  • 2 c. sweet cider or apple juice

Instructions

  1. Combine sugar, water, cloves and cinnamon stick in small saucepan.
  2. Simmer 5 minutes over low heat.
  3. Strain mixture into punch bowl.
  4. Stir in orange juice and cider.
  5. Chill.
  6. Garnish with clove-studded orange slices.
  7. Serve over ice.
  8. Makes 12 (1/2-cup) servings.
