Ingredients

  • 8 to 10 small potatoes, halved
  • 10 slices bacon or sausage, cut into large bits
  • 4 Tbsp. melted butter
  • salt and pepper
  • pinch of sugar
  • 6 apples or pears, peeled, cored and quartered

Instructions

  1. Put potatoes (cut side down), bacon or sausage and butter in a casserole.
  2. Add salt, pepper and sugar to taste.
  3. Bake at 350° for 20 minutes.
  4. Add the apples or pears and bake 30 to 40 minutes longer or until potatoes and fruit are tender.
