Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. yeast
  • 2 c. warm water
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 4 c. flour

Instructions

  1. Dissolve yeast in water (large bowl).
  2. Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Grease a deep bowl.
  3. Put dough in and let rise until double (about 1 1/2 hours).
  4. Punch down and put into two 9-inch pie pans.
  5. Let rise again. When loaves are double, melt 1 stick of margarine and pour equally (and carefully) over loaves.
  6. Bake at 400° for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
