Instructions
- Mix 1 c. scalded milk with oleo, sugar and salt.
- Dissolve yeast in 1/4 cup warm water, not hot water.
- Let yeast set until it rises.
- When milk mixture is cool, add yeast and 2 1/2 cups flour.
- Let stand until light, then add 1 or 1 1/2 cups more flour.
- Mix to a stiff dough and let stand until light.
- Mix down again.
- When light, roll out like cookie dough, then roll up and place on greased cookie sheet, corner ways.
- When double in size, bake 30 to 45 minutes at 350°.
