- Bake cake according to package directions for a round cake. Mix together sour cream, sugar and crushed pineapple with juice. Reserve 1 cup of this mixture for icing.
- Slice cake in half to make 4 layers.
- Place 1 layer on plate.
- Cover with pineapple mixture.
- Continue this, then leave top layer uncovered.
- Combine whipped topping with the cup of pineapple mixture; put on top and sides.
- Cover cake and refrigerate.
- This cake looks like a large snowball.
