Old-Fashioned Pole Beans

- Clean and remove strings from beans; cut beans into 2-inch pieces.
- Place ham hock in water in Dutch oven; bring to boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer 1 hour.
- Add beans, salt and pepper; continue cooking for 45 minutes or until tender.
- Yield: 10 to 12 servings.
