Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • grated rind of oranges (optional)
  • 3 cups nut halves (pecans or walnuts)

Instructions

  1. Boil sugar and orange juice until it forms a soft ball in cold water.
  2. Remove from fire; add grated orange rind and nut halves.
  3. Stir until the mixture turns cloudy and nuts are coated.
  4. Pour onto a cookie sheet and separate nuts with a fork to cool.
