Paper-Bag Pie

Ingredients

  • 2 cans apple pie filling
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. cinnamon
  • 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1 (2-crust) pie shell (deep-dish)

Instructions

  1. Mix first four ingredients.
  2. Pour into deep-dish pie shell. Cover with second crust.
  3. Moisten edges with water before placing top one on.
  4. Crimp edges to seal.
  5. Cut slits for steam to escape. Sprinkle sugar/cinnamon mixture on top crust. Place pie in paper bag.
  6. Fold and staple end shut.
  7. Bake 1 hour at 375°. Open after cooling.
  8. Serves 6.
