Sheepherder Potatoes

Instructions
- Fry bacon until not quite crisp.
- Add onions and saute until limp.
- Pour off all but 2 tablespoons of drippings.
- Center potatoes on tinfoil, placed in large casserole dish.
- Pour bacon mixture over potatoes and season with salt and pepper.
- Seal foil with small space between potatoes and foil.
- Bake 1 1/2 hours at 300°.
- Serves 4 to 6.
