Wild Blueberry Syrup/Sauce

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cinnamon stick
  • 1 1/2 cup fresh washed bluberries

Instructions

  1. in a blender or food processor puree 1/2 cup of the blueberries with the lemon juice.
  2. combine blueberries, sugar, water and cinnamon stick in medium saucepan.
  3. bring to a full boil, reduce heat and simmer for 5-8 minutes.
  4. add one cup blueberries and simmer for An additional 3 minutes.
  5. ( u can add more sugar here if needed)
  6. remove from heat and discard cinnamon stick.
  7. serve warm over pancakes

  10. I always add more sugar cuz I like it more sweet.
