- Combine all ingredients, except vanilla, in a saucepan, stirring well.
- Cook to 240°, using a candy thermometer, stirring constantly.
- Remove from heat; add vanilla.
- Beat with a mixer until it forms peaks.
- Pour into a buttered pan.
