Angel - Jello Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 box angel food cake mix
  • 1 pint strawberries frozen or fresh
  • 6 ounces jello strawberry
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/2 stick butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 tablespoons milk

Instructions

  1. Prepare angel food cake according to directions on box.
  2. While cake is baking make Jello according to package directions. When Jello is firm but not solid, add drained strawberries. Set aside.
  3. When cake is cool, cut about 1 inch layer from top of cake. Make a ditch in the large part of the cake. Break up these pieces and place in the Jello mixture you have already set aside. Be careful not to go too close to the edge when making the ditch. Pour the Jello and cake mixture back into the ditch of the cake, and place the top portion of the cake bacon on.
