A smooth, refreshing apple fool with sweet apple puree and whipped vanilla-flavored cream, perfect for a light dessert or a summer treat for fruit lovers.

Ingredients

  • 5 apples
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 3/4 cups sugar
  • 1 lemon
  • 1 cup cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

  1. Slice the lemon and place it in a pan with water and 1 1/2 cups sugar.
  2. Bring to a boil; reduce the heat and cook for 5 minutes.
  3. Peel, core, and slice the apples; add to the syrup and cook for 10 minutes.
  4. Drain and discard the syrup and lemons.
  5. Puree the apples in a blender and refrigerate until well chilled.
  6. Beat the cream until thick; add 1/4 cup sugar and vanilla, then blend with the apple puree.
  7. Pour into individual bowls and chill before serving.
