Apple Raisin Ring

Ingredients

  • 4 to 6 apples, peeled, cored and sliced
  • 1/2 c. raisins
  • 1/2 c. sugar/cinnamon
  • 1/2 box yellow cake mix (Jiffy)
  • 2 (8 oz.) cans crescent rolls
  • 1 egg white
  • 1 fresh lemon

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°.
  2. Cut apples into small pieces.
  3. Combine apples with raisins, cake mix, sugar/cinnamon and lemon juice. On a baking stone, make a circle with crescent triangles, wide sides overlapping.
  4. Press seams together.
  5. (It will look like a sun with a hole in middle.)
  6. Spoon mixture along edge of circle in a ring. Lay each triangle point over mixture and press along inside seam. (Mixture will not be completely covered.)
  7. Whisk egg white with 1 teaspoon of water and brush top.
  8. Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
