Apple/Orange Butter

Ingredients

  • 5 whole Medium Size Apples, I Used Fuji, Peeled, Cored And Chopped
  • 1 can (11-14 Oz. Size) Mandarin Oranges, Drained
  • 2 cups Sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoons Cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoons Ground Cloves
  • 1/2 teaspoons Nutmeg
  • 4 whole Half-pint Canning Jars, Lids And Rings

Instructions

  1. Put all ingredients in a medium size pot and cook on medium heat for about 30 minutes, stirring often. Cook until apples are soft then remove from heat.
  2. In the meantime get your water boiling in your canning pot and have 4 half pint jars washed and ready to go, along with 4 lids and rings.
  3. Using your boat motor or food processor, blend apple mixture till pureed. While hot, fill jars to within a half inch of top of jar. Make sure rim is clean, put on lid and ring snuggly. Process in hot water bath for 14 minutes. Enjoy!
