Ingredients

  • 1 c. raw apple, grated
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 envelopes unflavored gelatin
  • 5 Tbsp. cold water
  • 1/4 tsp. Rose flavoring
  • 1 c. nuts

Instructions

  1. Cook apples for 1 minute; add sugar and simmer for 30 minutes. Soak gelatin in water; add to apples, dissolve, remove from stove.
  2. Add Rose flavoring, nuts and lemon juice.
  3. Pour into buttered pan dusted with powdered sugar.
  4. Cool; cut in squares and roll in powdered sugar.
  5. Dry.
  6. Note:
  7. For cotlets use 1 c. apricot puree (baby food) instead of grated apples.
  8. Leave out Rose flavoring.
