Basil Beer Bread Recipe

Ingredients

  • 3 c. Self-rising flour
  • 3 Tbsp. Sugar
  • 1/2 c. Minced fresh basil leaves

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix the flour and sugar.
  2. Stir in the basil, then the beer.
  3. Mix till thoroughly blended, then pour into a well greased 9x5x3" loaf pan.
  4. Bake till a straw inserted in the center comes out clean, about 50 min.
  5. Turn the bread out of the pan and cold on a rack.
  6. Slice the bread thinly.
