Ingredients

  • 1/2 yeast cake dissolved in 1 1/4 cup lukewarm water
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 1 dash salt
  • 2 eggs beaten
  • 3 tbsp dry milk
  • 3 3/4 cup flour

Instructions

  1. knead for a few minutes on board.
  2. let it rise twice it size
  3. then fill greased bread pans and let it rise again
  4. bake at 350F for about 35 minutes
  5. when out of oven put on cookie sheet .
  6. rub bread with butter then let cool
  7. makes 3 loaves of bread
