- Heat the sugar, water, and peanuts over medium heat until the mixture begins to boil, stirring frequently to keep the nuts covered.
- Once boiling, remove from heat and spread the coated peanuts on a greased cookie sheet.
- Sprinkle lightly with salt.
- Bake at 300°F (150°C) for 20 minutes.
- Turn the nuts over and continue baking for another 20 minutes or until the nuts are roasted and caramelized.
