Ingredients

  • 1 lb. red skin peanuts (raw)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup water

Instructions

  1. Heat the sugar, water, and peanuts over medium heat until the mixture begins to boil, stirring frequently to keep the nuts covered.
  2. Once boiling, remove from heat and spread the coated peanuts on a greased cookie sheet.
  3. Sprinkle lightly with salt.
  4. Bake at 300°F (150°C) for 20 minutes.
  5. Turn the nuts over and continue baking for another 20 minutes or until the nuts are roasted and caramelized.
