Ingredients

  • 6 oz. can frozen lemonade concentrate
  • 2 Tbsp. lime juice
  • 6 oz. can water
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • approximately 24 stemless mint leaves
  • 1 to 2 oz. gin
  • soda water

Instructions

  1. Put lemonade, lime juice, water, and sugar into a blender and mix.
  2. Add enough mint leaves to fill the container and blend.
  3. Strain the mixture into a bowl or pitcher.
  4. Pour 2 1/2 ounces of the mixture into a 10-ounce glass and add gin.
  5. Fill the glass with ice cubes and top with soda water.

Tips & Substitutions

For a sweeter drink, adjust the sugar to taste or use a flavored syrup instead. Fresh mint leaves are ideal, but if they're unavailable, mint extract can be used sparingly. To enhance the lime flavor, consider using fresh lime zest in the blend. If you prefer a non-alcoholic version, simply omit the gin and top with extra soda water for a refreshing mocktail.

Serving Suggestions

Serve this refreshing Bootleg drink over ice in tall glasses, garnished with additional mint leaves for a pop of color. It pairs beautifully with light summer dishes and is perfect for outdoor gatherings or Picnic Barbecues. Consider serving alongside a Tangy Bean Salad(Black-Eyed Pea) for a delightful, complementary meal.

Storage & Reheating

This drink is best enjoyed fresh, but you can store the blended mixture in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Make sure to keep it in an airtight container to retain its flavor. If you want to serve it later, re-blend with ice and add soda water just before serving to revive its freshness.
