Instructions
- Place sugar, corn syrup and water in 2-quart saucepan.
- Cook over low heat until sugar is dissolved.
- Insert candy thermometer and cook without stirring to 265°.
- Add butter (be sure not to use margarine) and continue cooking to 290°.
- Remove from heat and add vanilla.
- Drop by small teaspoonfuls onto greased (butter is best) cookie sheet (make cookies about the size of a quarter).
- When cool, remove from pan and store in airtight container.
