Instructions
- Heat to dissolve sugar; add drained chaote slices.
- Bring to boil; simmer 7 or 8 minutes.
- Chaote slices will change color. Pack in jars with some of the spices and enough juice to cover slices.
- Set aside for a week or so.
- Try to use young tender chaote squash, more mature squash need to be peeled.
