- In a small saucepan, combine Bisquick and cinnamon.
- In a 1-quart saucepan, heat water and 1 tablespoon sugar to boiling.
- Add the boiling water mixture to the Bisquick mixture and stir vigorously until dough forms a ball.
- Remove from heat and beat in the egg until smooth.
- Transfer the dough into a pastry bag fitted with a star tip.
- Pipe 5-inch strips into a hot skillet with 1 inch of vegetable oil.
- Cook until golden brown on all sides, turning to coat evenly.
- While still hot, roll the churros in extra sugar.
- Serve warm.
