Ingredients

  • 1 c. milk, divided
  • 5 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. butter

Instructions

  1. Put 1/2 of milk in double boiler; heat and use other half with flour to make a paste.
  2. Put paste into heated milk and cook until very thick and heavy, almost like a ball, stirring constantly.
  3. Let cool until thoroughly cold.
  4. Put in mixer and add the remaining ingredients.
  5. Beat until fluffy.
