Ingredients

  • 1 column saltine crackers (from 4-pack pkg.)
  • 1 c. light brown sugar
  • 2 sticks butter
  • 12 oz. chocolate morsels

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°.
  2. Layer saltines on foil-lined 15 x 10-inch pan.
  3. Boil butter and sugar 3 minutes.
  4. Pour or spoon butter-sugar mixture over saltines.
  5. Bake at 400° for 7 minutes. Watch carefully.
  6. Remove from oven and spread the chocolate morsels over the top of the cooked saltines (using the back of a spoon helps).
  7. Don't let it cool at all before spreading the chocolate.
  8. Cool in refrigerator.
  9. Break into pieces and freeze.
