Ingredients

  • 25 medium cucumbers, put in strong brine (to float egg)
  • 1 c. salt to 1 gal. water

Instructions

  1. Let stand 5 to 10 days.
  2. Wash and cut into sticks.
  3. Cover with water with 2 heaping tablespoonfuls alum overnight.
  4. In the morning, wash, drain and make the following syrup.
