Damson Plum Pie
Ingredients
Instructions
- Remove seeds from fruit; add enough water to make 4 c. fruit and fruit juices combined.
- Add cornstarch to sugar and then add to fruit.
- Cook until very thick, stirring constantly.
- Add small amount of fruit mixture to beaten eggs and mix well.
- Add to remainder of fruit mixture which has been set aside until blended with eggs.
- Return to heat and cook 5 minutes.
- Cool.
- Put in pie shells; top with desired topping.
- Serves 12.
- Makes 2 pies.
