Ingredients

  • 4 Tbsp. salt (pickling)
  • 3 c. cider vinegar
  • 3 c. water
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • fresh dill
  • peppercorns
  • grape leaf
  • cucumbers

Instructions

  1. Bring barely to a boil vinegar, water and salt.
  2. Pack cucumbers in jar.
  3. Put 1 grape leaf, 2 cloves garlic and 1 sprig of fresh dill in the bottom of jar.
  4. Pour liquid mixture over pickles.
  5. Add 4 peppercorns to each jar.
  6. Put through hot water bath 10 minutes. Use small cucumbers 2 1/2 to 3-inches long.
  7. These are crispier. Add another sprig of dill and another grape leaf on top.
  8. Use all fresh ingredients.
