Easy Basic Cream Pie Filling

Ingredients

  • 6 c. milk
  • 6 eggs
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 3 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 2 drops yellow food coloring
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 Tbsp. margarine

Instructions

  1. Use a heavy saucepan (large).
  2. Mix milk and eggs together in your saucepan, then mix sugar and cornstarch together and add to milk and eggs.
  3. Stir constantly until mixture thickens and boils up a little bit.
  4. Remove from heat.
  5. Add margarine, vanilla and food coloring.
  6. Makes two 9-inch pies.
