Egg White Oatmeal

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Rolled Oats
  • 1 cup Water
  • 1 cup Egg Whites
  • Dash Salt

Instructions

  1. Over medium heat in a small pot place 1/2 cup rolled oats with 1 cup of water (and dash of salt, optional). Bring to a heavy simmer, stirring frequently until most of the water has been absorbed by the oats.
  2. Reduce heat down to low and mix in 4 egg whites, stirring constantly for about 4 minutes. You will notice the egg whites will start to fluff a bit, become white, and the oatmeal will take on a thicker creamy consistency.
  3. Once the oatmeal has finished cooking, pour into a bowl and add in your flavorings. I love to add in a scoop of protein powder, fresh cut fruit, and all natural peanut butter for a well balanced breakfast of protein, complex carbs, and healthy fats.
