Ingredients

  • 1 c. or more of starter you have saved
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 3 Tbsp. potato flakes
  • 1 c. warm water

Instructions

  1. Mix starter and sugar, potato flakes and water.
  2. Let stand at room temperature 8 to 12 hours or all day . At this point, you use 1 cup to make bread or share it with a friend.
  3. Refrigerate the rest of the mixture 3 to 5 days and make bread anytime by allowing 1 cup to reach room temperature.
  4. You must always keep at least 1 cup of starter and it must be fed at least every 3 to 5 days.
