Flavored Sherbet
Ingredients
Instructions
- Soften gelatin in 1/2 cup skim milk.
- Heat evaporated milk with the sugar.
- Add the softened jello and stir until dissolved. Cool.
- Slowly add the lemon peel and juice to the cooled gelatin mixture, stirring constantly.
- Pour into ice cube trays and place in the freezer.
- When mixture is mushy, remove and fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.
- Return to freezer until firm.
- Remove and put in a chilled bowl.
- Beat until fluffy.
- Re-freeze and serve.
