Freezing Slaw

Ingredients

  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. vinegar
  • 1 large head cabbage, shredded
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • celery seed and/or anise to taste

Instructions

  1. Mix vinegar and sugar together; bring to a boil.
  2. Add 1 tablespoon of salt.
  3. Add celery seed or anise or both to taste. Let cool.
  4. Pour over cabbage.
  5. Let stand several hours before freezing.
