Instructions
- Make thin cuttings from each ear of corn and scrape the rest from the cob.
- Place in heavy skillet with melted butter.
- Add salt, sugar and pepper.
- Cook slowly on low heat, adding water as needed and stirring often.
- Field corn expands as it cooks, so this will make a lot.
- Cook about 40 minutes.
- Add milk.
- Place in 350° oven and cook 20 to 30 minutes.
