Fried Parsnip

Instructions
- Peel and slice long ways.
- Put butter or bacon grease in skillet.
- Sprinkle with black pepper, a little salt and 1/2 cup of sugar.
- Add just a little water (1/4 cup or less).
- Let cook until brown, turn over and cook until tender or done.
- They are candy when done.
