Fruit Cobbler(Peach)

Ingredients

  • 1/3 c. milk
  • 1 c. flour
  • dash of salt
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/3 c. shortening
  • 3 c. fruit
  • 1 lump butter
  • 2/3 c. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. cornstarch or flour

Instructions

  1. Combine milk, flour, salt, baking powder and shortening.
  2. Roll out dough.
  3. Place half of dough in a 9-inch square pan.
  4. Cook fruit, butter, sugar and flour until thick.
  5. I use double boiler. Pour this filling on dough.
  6. Place remaining dough on top. Sprinkle with sugar.
  7. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.
  8. You can use any fruit including blackberries.
