Instructions
- Dissolve dry milk in 3 1/2 cups warm water; stir in shortening, sugar and salt.
- Dissolve yeast in 1/2 cup warm water; add to milk mixture.
- Add 6 cups flour to make smooth batter.
- Add 6 more cups.
- Knead well on floured board.
- Place in greased bowl. Let rise 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
- Punch down; let rise 1/2 hour.
- Shape into 4 loaves.
- Cover; let rise for 45 minutes, until light.
- Bake at 350° for 45 minutes.
