Grandma'S Borscht

Instructions
- In a large soup pot, boil meats and 2 tablespoons salt in 1 gallon of water.
- Skim top.
- Add garlic, parsnip, carrots, leek and dill. Boil for another hour.
- Remove meat to use for pirozhki or another meal. Add to the pot the cabbage, tomato paste and liquid from the can of beets.
- Boil for 1 more hour.
- Cut the beets and add just before serving.
