Ingredients

  • 1 box Flako pie crust
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 4 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 3 pounds apples

Instructions

  1. Mix the pie crust according to the directions on the box. Split the dough in half.
  2. Roll out the bottom crust to fit the bottom of the pie pan.
  3. Mix cinnamon into the sugar and set aside.
  4. Slice apples very thin.
  5. Fill the pie crust with the sliced apples.
  6. Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture over the apples in the crust.
  7. Roll out the top crust and place it over the filled pie.
  8. Press down the edges of the pie all around to seal.
  9. Pinch holes into the top crust to allow juice to escape while baking.
  10. Line the bottom of the oven with tinfoil to catch leaks.
  11. Bake the pie for about 1 1/2 hours at 325°F.
