Ingredients

  • 9 c. sugar
  • 3 c. water
  • 1 tsp. alum
  • 150 good size clover blooms

Instructions

  1. Bring sugar, water, and alum to a rolling boil and cook for about 12 minutes. Turn off the heat.
  2. Press the clover blooms into the hot syrup.
  3. Allow the mixture to stand for 20 to 30 minutes.
  4. Strain the syrup through cheesecloth after removing the clover blooms.
  5. Pour the strained syrup into jars for storage.
