Ingredients

  • 3 cups red wine
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • fresh ginger (1 inch piece, sliced)
  • fresh turmeric, root (1 inch piece, sliced a Optional)

Instructions

  1. In saucepan, combine wine, cinnamon, ginger and turmeric. Cover and heat gently.
  2. Remove from heat and allow to stand, covered, for 20 minutes.
  3. Strain and pour into 4 heated mugs.
