Iceberg Dill Pickles

Instructions
- Drain pickles and soak in ice water for 2 hours.
- Drain on several
- layers
- paper.
- Slice pickles in half lengthwise, then slice
- into
- 3/4-inch pieces.
- While soaking, mix sugar, vinegar, spice and garlic.
- Pour over pickles and let stand 5 days. Stir each
- day. Put in jars and seal.
- Use plastic or enamel pans.
