Irany Minty Lemonade

Ingredients

  • 50 tender mint leaves, chopped
  • 1 cup hot corn syrup
  • 14 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 16 ice cubes, for drink

Instructions

  1. Put the mint leaves in a mixing bowl.
  2. Pour the hot syrup over them; stir and leave to cool.
  3. Add the lemon juice and mix.
  4. To serve as a dip, strain the mixture into a small serving bowl.
  5. Place bowl on a large serving platter and surround with the lettuce leaves.
  6. Add ten to twelve ice cubes right before serving.
  7. For a drink add about 1 cup of water to the flavored syrup and mix.
  8. Strain into two glasses.
  9. Add seven or eight ice cubes to each glass.
  10. Serve.
