- Cream together very well the butter and sugar for 5 minutes. Should resemble whipped cream. Add flour and salt.
- Dough should work up into a ball, cleaning the sides of the bowl. Press out on nonstick cookie sheet to 1/4 to 1/2-inch thick. Run knife completely through dough as if to cut it in squares.
- Pick, if desired, and sprinkle sugar, if desired.
- Bake for 30 minutes at 300°.
- Cool, then cut following lines made before.
